The Water Cycle And How It Helps The Environment

Water is an extremely important resource. Without it, humans could not live. Humans need water to function properly. The water cycle is very complex, and it is a necessary component of how Earth functions.

The NOAA says, "The water cycle is often taught as a simple circular cycle of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Although this can be a useful model, the reality is much more complicated." People use water for a myriad of reasons, from swimming pools to drinking water. Water is used by the environment to determine local temperatures as well as form the physical conditions of Earth. National Geographic says, "The water cycle also influences the physical geography of Earth. Glacial melt and erosion caused by water are two of the ways the water cycle helps create Earth's physical features." The water cycle is used by the environment to make places habitable for humans.

While humans may use water for many things, we also must be careful to conserve our use of it, as climate and other things affect the ecosystem and the water cycle. NASA says, "The water cycle is an extremely important process because it enables the availability of water for all living organisms and regulates weather patterns on our planet. If water didn’t naturally recycle itself, we would run out of clean water, which is essential to life." Without clean water, humanity would perish. We must be mindful of our environment and our resources, as water is an important part of existence.

Ultimately, the water cycle is something that is enriched by the environment, as it allows for the water cycle to continue. Water is a natural resource that helps humanity to thrive and exist. Without water, we all would not be here on Earth. It's important to practice conservation and being eco-friendly as the environment is something that we should not take for granted.
