On December 14, 2024, the youth at The COOP Concept worked together on various projects that incorporated teamwork and artistic expression.
The day began with the COOP youth using an assembly line approach to complete leather and wood earrings. They learned how to work as a team to reach their goal. The youth participants also created clay earrings, allowing them to explore new materials and design possibilities.

The COOP youth participants focused on other essential tasks for the COOP Concept. They learned and implemented the marketing side of entrepreneurship. They demonstrated this by taking photos for the website to sell the products they created, focusing on the importance of good lighting, angles, and presentation when selling items online.
In addition to making the earrings, the youth wrote on postcards for the Fly the COOP project and painted thank you cards to demonstrate their appreciation to the donors.

At The COOP Concept, each session offers valuable opportunities for youth to learn new skills, collaborate with peers, and connect with the broader mission of entrepreneurship and community-building. The projects they worked on will support the organization and teach them the power of creativity, hard work, and gratitude while building lasting relationships with the community. In the coming weeks we are preparing for the holidays and Black History Month! We are excited to be working alongside other organizations in our community to bring our youth together!
